The Just, Older, Youth (J.O.Y) Project

The J.O.Y Project helps facilitate mentorship in our community by and for seniors.

This includes hosting workshops and events which showcase tools such as strengthening digital and financial literacy. Two key areas where seniors, unfortunately, disproportionately bear the burden of navigating rapidly shifting landscapes.

"Getting old is like climbing a mountain; you get a little out of breath, but the view is much better!"

—Ingrid Bergman

Our goal is to reduce loneliness and social isolation within our senior community.

The J.O.Y Project also provides a forum for sharing circles between the youth and senior members of our community. These gatherings stimulates the hearts and minds of people on both ends of the age spectrum, providing a rare opportunity for different generations to appreciate the hard-learned lessons of a long life and simultaneously, the ingenuity of a fresh perspective and its ability to solve some of times oldest riddles.

Weekly Sharing Circles

Our hope for the the J.O.Y Project is a re-engaged, revitalized senior community that strengthens and broadens our entire community as a whole.
