Chris is an upcoming Software Tester with high curiosity and passion for computing and gaming. Highly recommended by his previous team, he brings with him eight years of Computer and Networks IT Support experience, primarily supporting the Legal Industry while he was with Frontier Solutions Inc. in Calgary, AB. During this time, he gained great insight into the business environment and was able to develop valuable skills. He successfully grew in his IT career, holding roles such as Technical Project Lead and Technical Account Manager, but is now eager to shift his focus towards Software Testing. To initiate this journey, he is currently working through the Software Quality and Test Automation program at CCTB, focused on QA testing using Selenium, and is expected to complete the program by January 2023. As a person with empathy and compassion, Chris enjoys helping others and contributing to solutions that serve everyone.

Nav is an upcoming SQA tester, who started his career in digital marketing, particularly in social media content writing. Since his childhood, he has immersed himself in technology as he loves computers and is driven to learn new computer programs and enjoys casual gaming. His growing interest in learning new technical skills made his transition to a Software Testing career in the Tech Industry. He is passionate about bridging the gap between business and IT so he is predominantly interested in business analyst roles. He is about to complete his CCTB training in January 2023. He is an active person who loves playing Tennis, Basketball, Soccer, Cycling, and Swimming during his spare time. Besides these, he is passionate about photography and music.

Rashed’s passion for technology started at a young age. He loved puzzles, self-learned MsWord to digitize a book, and enjoyed troubleshooting and helping his friends and family to solve technical issues with their computers. After high school, his curiosity to learn technology allowed him to self-learn a web development course online. He shortly became a YouTuber practicing his learned skills, by sharing his knowledge. When he moved to Canada, he wanted to go behind his dream to find a career in the demanding Tech Industry. Rashed’s brother, SDET working in Tech Industry in North America, was his inspiration and mentor for choosing Software Testing as his career. Rashed used to play soccer at high school and loves to work out to maintain his abs. He is about to complete his training at CCTB in January 2023.

Celia is passionate about quality assurance and value analysis. Her Electronics Engineering background includes testing, verifying, auditing, coordination, and valuation for products in the Philippines, Singapore, and in Canada. She is skilled with manufacturing quality tools, and cost estimations through business models and was also highly trained in customer service listening skills. As she exhibits a world-class excellence mentality, she is very eager to collaborate and adapt in a diverse environment. Celia had the realization to further progress her interest in software quality assurance and test automation, which she’s currently working on Selenium and Phyton through CCTB - Vancouver. Her other interests include helping out with street missionaries’ fundraisers and joining Vancouver-run marathons.

Farnad's Software Development interest started when he did his undergraduate degree in structural engineering. So he put his effort into developing software development skills parallelly with his career as a structural engineer and also incorporated this technology into his work. His curiosity in Software Development made him learn more and learned Java and Android application development and, then switched his career to software development. When he moved to Canada, he continued to develop applications for Android devices as a freelancer. When he happened to test his applications, he realized his skills are more aligned with testing and also understood software testing skills are crucial even as a developer. He then decided to qualify himself and started Software QA Tester training with CCTB and graduating in January 2023. He is looking for a Software Developer in a Test role to excel.

Shruthi is a Software Developer in Test professional having work experience in software testing both automated and manual with Ozo Technology. She is been working on an IoT project using Raspberry Pi and she also created a front-end web page for customer projects. She developed automated scripts (Python), did manual testing as per user manual specification, developed daemons in Linux, and performed testing on web applications. She has experience in Embedded devices as well software applications such as web platforms. Shruthi completed a certificate course on web development from BCIT. She is been enhancing her present software skills by perusing the Software Quality and Test Automation program at CCTB where she is more focused on Oracle DBMS, Cloud computing, and various Software testing tools practices. She enjoys teamwork and always asks for a recommendation for her work and voluntarily help others. During her spare time, she loves doing badminton, yoga, and painting.

Mike is an upcoming SQA Tester who is building his long-term goal to become an SQA Engineer. From high school to college, he was most enthusiastic to figure out a way to incorporate technology that enhanced the work of his projects and presentations. He enjoyed the challenge of problem-solving and took initiative in helping friends and family troubleshoot tech issues. During his business degree at BCIT, he learned the importance of communication and teamwork through working in group settings. However, after graduation, he felt that his passion was always in the IT industry. Knowing that all businesses have a use for technology, he wanted to learn more about software and combine his knowledge of these two industries. This is where he came across the SQA Tester training program and made use of that opportunity to develop Software Tester skills with CCTB. Expected to graduate in 2023, he is now looking forward to an opportunity in the Tech Industry where he can put his learned skills into perspective.

Siva is an upcoming Software QA Tester, who has hands-on penetration testing experience and is passionate about identifying security weaknesses in Software and Network through penetration testing. He began his journey as a culinary expert, and his creativity and curiosity developed his interest in completing Cybersecurity Analyst training and starting his internship. Through the internship, he developed his interest in learning more Software Testing skills and now following Software QA training with CCTB, graduating in January 2023. He is very ambitious and developing skills and experience to achieve his long-term goal to become e as a Cyber Security Analyst. He loves spending time with his daughter and is determined to find a job that in return helps young kids who are vulnerable to cybersecurity attacks.

Tieli started her career as a Mechanical Engineer, but didn’t like the manual part of it and started learning machine automation. She learned C++ & 3D modeling and developed an interest in the Software Industry. She was then able to find a Software tester position and then grew as a Lead Software Tester. When she moved to Canada, she tried doing business, but she didn't feel fulfilled with her job and decided to continue Software testing. She is now following Software QA Tester training with CCTB and learning Automation testing, the latest Software Testing tools, and filling her knowledge gap. She is expected to graduate in January 2023 and is looking for an opportunity to start her Software Testing Career in Canada and practice her ability and skills in Software testing. She loves doing puzzles and hanging around with her friends during her spare time.

Daniel is an upcoming Software QA tester, graduating in January 2023 from CCTB. His values and philosophy are strongly related to making a positive impact on himself and his surroundings. He believes the work of a software tester is unique in that the goal is to break the software and find as many faults as possible. For him finding bugs and collaborating with the developer team for an end product that solves problems is the most appealing part of the job. He has a nursing background where critical thinking and communication skills have served him greatly and wish to apply these skills to Software testing. Knowing that his skills and knowledge can lead to one less problem is a great sense of accomplishment. His strong work ethic and communication skills always allowed him to positively influence the team and the clients he has interacted with. He believes his strength and strong value in serving others through dedicated work is a great motivator for him to continue to gain greater insight into software testing. Outside of work, he loves to play baseball, and golf to stay active throughout the year. Also, he has been involved in many overseas volunteer work to empower children in third-world countries. Which evidently encouraged him to always be a positive influence on my surroundings and the world.

Zainab is an upcoming Software QA Tester, with a diploma in Computer Programming. Her passion for Tech started at an early age and which led her to take a few online courses, to begin with. She was concerned about the quality of the software she built by herself or as a team. Her curiosity made her explore what Software Testing is all about. She realized her values align with Software Testing and is now following Software QA Tester training with CCTB. She is graduating in January 2023, to begin her career in Automated Software testing. Outside work she is a volunteer and enjoys writing, and learning new languages.

Howard is an upcoming SQA Tester who has stellar product management and sales experience with Evertrust Financial, Goopter eCommerce solution (SaaS), OTIS Elevator, IOT Pay, and Duke’s Wire Mesh. He is curious, determined, and passionate about learning Technical skills, and combines with his business acumen to stand out in the Tech Industry. His Engineering skills and diverse Industrial experience, motivated him to start his journey in Software Testing and now he is about to graduate from the SQA Tester training program with CCTB, in January 2023. He is a multilingual, effortful and thoughtful leader.

Zena started her career as a Technical programmer for a telecommunication company called Zain in Iraq. Then she moved to The Higher Committee for Education Development Iraq as an IT support programmer and grew to a Coordinator to monitor the scholarship programme. She then got selected for a Master in IT scholarship in the USA, through competitive benefits at her office. When she moved to Canada to settle. Even though she was doing a customer service job, she was feeling not challenged enough and wanted to get into the Tech industry. She completed training in cybersecurity to expand her knowledge and is now following a Software Tester training with CCTB to fill her knowledge gap to become a Software Tester. She is expected to graduate in February 2023. She likes to read books, watch movies, and hike during her leisure time.

Tom is an upcoming Software QA Tester, with a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU). He developed multiple web applications through school and also gained work experience as a web developer. He developed an interest in Software Testing when he code Unit testing. He is now passionate to start a career in Automation Testing and now he is following a Sofware QA Tester training at CCTB. He enjoys designing quality websites and loves solving analytical problems.

Kermen started as a Digital Artist designing logical characters at Branch Exchange Game Studio, Vancouver, BC. Then he qualified himself through certification at BCIT to become a professional digital artist. Even though he was an ambitious Graphics Designer for a while, things didn’t go as well as he anticipated. He ended up with a survival security guard job and enjoyed working with a team, solving safety problems, and loved his opportunity to interact with people. His interest in digital arts and his gaming hobby pushed him toward the Software Testing industry. He is about to complete his SQA tester training with CCTB in January 2023. He is particularly interested in finding an opportunity in the gaming Industry, to put his skills, passion, and values into practice.

Darya is an upcoming Software Tester, with several years of managerial experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Darya started as a Sergeant in the Israeli Defence Forces, and gradually educated herself to strengthen her organization, analytical and critical thinking skills. She used to be a Client Relations Manager and an Operation Manager both in Israel and Canada. One day she was among her Tech friends who were working on a project and was fascinated by how coding can bring ideas to life and into a visualization of practice. Her interest in technology sparked there, and she decided to try and apply for a Technical Specialist job she came across. To her surprise, she was called for a phone interview, was able to pass the assessments given to her by researching the web, faced the in-person interview, and eventually received a job offer. Unfortunately, she couldn’t accept the position at that time due to her immigration status in Canada, but the thoughts of pursuing a Tech career continued to develop. After her Canadian status became permanent, she looked for new opportunities and challenges and was able to follow the Software QA Tester training with CCTB to transition her career. She is graduating in January 2023 and is ready and eager to put her previous experience and skills into practice. Darya is a dedicated Yogi and a true camping enthusiast, passionate about politics and enjoying all kinds of creative crafts that require out-of-the-box thinking and vision.

Chehem is an upcoming Software Tester, graduating from CCTB in February 2023. He was interested in numbers and business and started his career as an Accountant and used QuickBook during his career. He then became a Business Analyst for about 4 years. At a point when he was managing the business, he developed an interest in learning to build a website through Udemy and explored GoDaddy during his spare time. He got an opportunity to design a website for the Afar community of BC where he used to volunteer. In the beginning, he thought tech was not his thing, but after started working, he developed a curiosity to transition his career to the Tech Industry. With the help of his Tech friends', he was able to find out his interest in Software testing. He is hoping to find a Software tester role in the finance or banking domain, to excel. He sees himself as a lifelong learner and loves cooking during his spare time.

Sean is an upcoming Software QA Tester, graduating from CCTB in January 2023. He is a curious, easy-going cool person, who loves to try out new things for fun. His interest in technology started in his high school through his infotech class and he started spending more time at the computer lab learning how to build websites and animations. When he started his career at a warehouse, he voluntarily helped others to solve technical issues with the machinery. To feed his interest, he used to be a video game "Play Tester" for VR games and Disney mobile games in Vancouver. One day when he was exploring the web, “How to code '' youtube videos made him finally decide to transition his career to Tech and started his training for Software QA testing with CCTB. One of his favorite games with his friends was escape room and he was well-known among his friends to solve puzzles. Sean also loves making youtube videos “The Great Sean Prasad” during his spare time.

Doris is a Software Engineer and upcoming Software QA Tester, graduating from CCTB in February 2023. Doris has enjoyed solving detective story puzzles to identify the criminal at school. She is an explorer and likes experiencing new things. After her degree, she started researching as a team working on hydrocarbon evaluation projects, utilizing the technology to research, analyze and find a solution that is used by future energy exploration plants in China. When she moved to Canada, she started working in a Customer service job with Apple. Even though she liked problem-solving, her curiosity to experience or test a new product before it comes to market and her efficiency of the product mindset, made her decide to get back to the Tech industry that she most enjoyed. She has spent some of her spare time volunteering at food banks and shelters. She is an outgoing person, who loves cooking, shopping, and attending local community events.

Monika is AWS Cloud foundation certified, upcoming Software QA Tester through CCTB graduating in January 2023. She sees herself as an explorer and is willing to try new things that interest her. She started her career as a nurse in different healthcare settings, from bedside care of patients to assisting radiologists with biopsy procedures. She never hesitate to say no, when asked to multitask and do admin support at the unit. Her curiosity in Tech sparked when she thought of building an app to maintain her parent's medical notes and records, whenever she accommodate them for translation. Understanding IT has become an essential part of everyone's life, she decided and was excited to explore the fast-growing industry filled with vast opportunities. She believes her gained excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, detailed oriented, and communication skills, giving her the fundamental skills needed to become a Software tester. She is delighted to ignite her passion as a Software Tester. She likes painting and enjoys pottery during her spare time.

Cynthia is an experienced Computer Engineer and upcoming Software Developer in Test, graduating from CCTB in January 2023. She started her career in electronic engineering and worked on challenging telecommunication and signal processing projects like developing secure network platforms, developing web services, and Data Analysis. She then moved to management roles for some time, but then she figured out she enjoys being more of a creator than a leader. During her development time, when they faced challenges with limited resources to do manual testing, the question she had in her mind was, will it be better if she can automate her testing scenarios? When she was looking for an answer, she got an opportunity to train in cybersecurity analysis and fulfilled the knowledge gap to test networks. While working as a penetration tester, she learned that she has a good eye for catching exploits or bugs and decided to professionally qualify herself to become a Software Tester and get back to work with the software development team. She is now looking for the right opportunity to utilize her skills in practice. She plays chess, and piano and creates 3D ornaments using beads during her spare time. She also loves reading books.

Jayson is a upcoming Software QA tester and outside-the-box thinker. He has a sound knowledge of technology and applications, and always voluntarily helps others (teammates) learn. He is a curious resourceful learner and demonstrates humility. His health necessitated a career change and he found what was common throughout his experience combined with what he enjoyed, those few things were quality, communication, small business support, and IT. He got an opportunity to learn Software Quality Assurance Testing at the Canadian College of Technology and Business. He found that he was able to apply his four principles to Software Testing, and to his career goal of Business Analyst. He loves solving sudoku, minesweeper, and crossword puzzles and loves playing video games during his spare time. His outdoor hobbies are hiking, fishing and camping.

Charles is an upcoming Software QA Tester, who is graduating from his Software QA Tester training programme in January 2023. His interest in technology started in his school days, he always took the initiative to troubleshoot his computers and helped others either by troubleshooting or sharing knowledge. He started his career with Maxflex digital media as a closed captioner. He then decided to try an electrician job. But the job didn't fulfill him, even though he loved to be in a team to achieve a common goal. When he was exploring his options for a job that was dynamic, interesting, and have avenues to grow himself to different roles in his later career, he found Software testing not only to satisfy his expectations but also a demanding job. He decided to transition and gain the skills needed through CCTB. He developed an interest in logical reasoning and loved to write queries to extract data from SQL and was excited to start his software testing career.

Kris is an upcoming software tester, graduating from CCTB in February 2023. Kris loved playing lego games when he was young, then at school, he got curious and passionate about Tech and assembled his own computer. Being the first person in the family who has a passion for Tech, he helped his family and friends to assemble their computers. After high school, even though he found a customer service job, his curiosity grew and he tried to modify or customize the game features of his favorite open-source Valve games. He started following the tutorial and put effort into learning Python to achieve it. As a game user, he was always interested to find out what causes the bug. He then started exploring Tech jobs and completed an A+ certification at BCIT. The Software QA Tester job showed a great purpose in his life, as he sees himself as a person who likes to break things and learn and quality was in his mind when working with the team in his customer service role. He loves being in nature, meeting new people, and playing tabletop games.

Grant is an upcoming SQA Tester who has stellar experience in customer service and sales with expert driving skills with Ecolab Inc, AMJ Cambell, Bestway Driving School, and Simon Fraser University. He has been a computer hobbyist and gamer since he was a kid. His tech-savvy mindset led him to assemble his own computer, help others set up their computer network, and later enabled him to work as an IT support. His passion and hobby for computer gaming made him make a decision to learn Software testing training to penetrate the Gaming Industry, to put his skills and knowledge into practice, and at the same time learn more about game development and testing.

Matt grew up with computers and loved troubleshooting his own, his friends, and his family's computers. Eventually, he ended up in a role helping others troubleshoot technical issues and office support. During his last job, he was given the challenging task of manually migrating the legacy bulk documents to the Access database, while maintaining the quality of the documents and data, as an initiative to digitize the office documents. When he was performing this tedious job, he thought it would be lovely if he could automate the process to save time and use macros. Since then, he developed an interest and curiosity to develop his technical skills. He then decided to transition his career to Software Testing and joined the Software testing training. He is about to complete his technical training at CCTB by January 2023.

Alexandra is a Junior Software Tester with a medical background, graduating from CCTB in January 2023. Since she moved to Canada, she has been surrounded by Computer programmers, Testers, and people working in the IT field. This sparked her interest in the Tech industry. She discovered being a medical practitioner and a Software Tester have a lot in common. She thinks doctor tests the human body to identify illnesses and provides solutions. Whereas Software Tester evaluates software from all angles, trying to find possible defects in it and report it to the developer to fix the issue. She believes her gained effective communication, detail-oriented, and team-playing skills will give her the fundamental skills needed to perform as a Software Tester. She is always open to gaining new knowledge to provide quality service to her patients. She is now learning Software testing skills at CCTB. She likes to be active and loves swimming, hiking, and cycling during her spare time. She also likes reading books and ballet.
