Sacred Circle: Indigenous Family Healing and Support

A Path to Healing and Empowerment for Indigenous Communities in Metro Vancouver

We aim to address and reduce family violence within Indigenous communities across Metro Vancouver. This program, rooted in cultural understanding and guided by community voices, offers comprehensive, community-driven services to Indigenous individuals, including women, children, youth, men, and 2SLGBTQI+ people.

Why This Program Matters

Indigenous communities in Metro Vancouver continue to face disproportionately high rates of family violence, with particularly severe impacts on women, children, youth, and 2SLGBTQI+ individuals. This program responds to the critical need for culturally appropriate, Indigenous-led services that not only address family violence but also foster healing, resilience, and long-term well-being.

What We Offer

Sacred Circle: Indigenous Family Healing and Support is designed to meet the diverse needs of participants through a wide range of support services and healing activities. Our program is built around key activities that promote both individual and community well-being:

Our Approach

Led by a dedicated program manager, Sacred Circle: Indigenous Family Healing and Support is supported by a team of counselors, facilitators, and community volunteers. We engage Indigenous leaders and Elders at every step to ensure the cultural relevance of our services, ensuring they are both effective and respectful of Indigenous traditions. By partnering with five First Nation communities within Metro Vancouver, we aim to create sustainable, long-lasting impacts.
