The Low Entropy Foundation has been awarded funding through the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program to deliver Bridging Generations, an 8-week intergenerational program connecting youth (ages 16–24) and seniors (55+).
Bridging Generations is designed to bring together youth and seniors in meaningful 1:1 partnerships to share life experiences, build relationships, and foster mutual understanding.
Through guided conversations, storytelling, and shared activities, seniors are invited to pass on wisdom, skills, and lived experience, while youth have the opportunity to learn, help teach technology skills, ask questions, and gain perspective from older generations in their community.
The program creates a welcoming and supportive environment where participants can connect across generations, reduce social isolation, and build a stronger sense of community.
