Join us at the annual Multicultural Connections Festival at Lafarge Lake, Town Center Park in Coquitlam on July 8th from 10 am to 6 pm – everyone is welcome!
There will be live entertainment featuring multicultural performances from around the globe. A variety of food from diverse cultures will be available for purchase from 15 different food trucks. Shopping from over 100 local artists, craftsmen/women, local businesses, and nonprofits.
There will also be a 50/50 draw with lots of chances to win various prizes in addition to the pot of cash!

Jane is a Haida and Scottish young lady who was inspired when she saw a hoop dancer. This same woman gave Jane her first three hoops. Jane’s passion for hoop dancing propelled her to teach herself to improve and master her craft.

SHOT OF SCOTCH will be performing at the Multicultural Connections Festival happening on Saturday, July 8th at Lafarge Lake Coquitlam.
FILIPINIANA Dance Group
The Chichiquita Dance Group will perform the “Bulaklakan” (Dance of Floral Garlands), a traditional Philippines folk dance.
The HULA SPIRIT
Performing to perpetuate, promote and preserve the unique traditions and cultural heritage of the Hula, and other Polynesian dances.
City Opera Vancouver
City Opera Vancouver is now in its 17th year presenting staged operas as well as opera in concert, and has performed over 220 productions and events since its founding in 2006. Come enjoy two fabulous singers in the thrilling program on favourites from the great operas!!

The Safari Lounge will be presenting West African drums (Djembe, Dun, Sangba) and sharing its brief history.

Join Chinese Canadian Celtic fiddler Prairie Wolf and English folk singer-guitarist Tim Readman as they journey across Canada and encounter the unique musical traditions of the Metis, French Canadians, and Cape Breton Island.
Zambales Dance Group
The Zambales Dance Group will be performing “Tinikling” which is a traditional Philippine folk dance involving sliding bamboo poles in coordination with the dancers who step over and in between the poles.
